These are some examples of the modules we offer;
Responsibilities of Trustees and Boards:
training in the legal duties and liabilities of trustees and trustee boards. We present this module in the context of your charity. The morning session includes problem-solving and the afternoon centres on a workshop
where the central Board responsibilities are explored in detail.
Facilitated Board Performance Reviews: these reviews are constructed following discussion with chief executive and chair. They focus on generic and specific issues facing the Board and the charity and
are an opportunity for serious thinking about the effectiveness of the Board as a team. We provide a report following the review.
Training Needs Assessment: Trustees need to learn to be effective but many trustees are busy people who already give a lot of their time and energy to the organisation. A structured assessment of
training needs will ensure that you target and deliver board training as efficiently as possible.
How to Appraise your Trustees:
Appraisal is an effective and well-used tool for staff. This course will assist Chairs and Chief Executives to apply familar techniques in a sensitive and potentially difficult environment.
Finance for Charity Trustees: It is vital that all board members have sufficient financial skills to contribute to the effective governance of their organisation and to discharge their personal duties
as trustees.
