Recruiting and Managing Volunteers

This course will consider best practice for recruiting volunteers and the legal parameters associated with engaging volunteers. The course will give delegates the opportunity to work through some practical examples of difficult volunteer situations and look at communication channels with volunteers.

Learning Outcomes

Following this course, participants will:

  • Be briefed to undertake volunteer recruitment
  • Be aware of the legal balance between employment contracts and engaging volunteers
  • Have an appreciation of dealing with difficult situations with volunteers e.g.
    • Handling misconduct
    • Ethical differences and relationship difficulties
    • Ending the relationship
  • Have explored corporate communication issues with volunteers

This course is suitable anyone with a responsibility for recruiting or managing volunteers

Venue and Duration
This one day course is being held at one of our regular venues in Central London. The session will run from 10.00am to 4.30pm. Coffee and registration will be from 9.30am for a prompt 10.00am start.
