Managing Teams including Remote Teams
Managing a team can be a challenging and rewarding part of any manager’s job, but it is often made more difficult when the team members are remote from each other or their manager – or maybe both. A well managed team works more effectively, deals proactively with issues, is easier to manage and will have a lower staff/volunteer turnover.

-
Explain what an effective and an ineffective team looks like
-
Demonstrate effective communication skills and explain how these can be used with both remote and on-site teams
-

-

-
Explain the stages of team development and how these affect team performance
-
Explain some of the specific challenges facing remote teams
-
Draw up a plan to address the issues around managing remote teams
-
Explain how team exercises can help team development
