Coaching, Mentoring and Training
Coaching, mentoring and training are all effective ways of helping volunteers and staff develop additional skills that will support the work of their organisation. Charitable and not-for-profit
organisations often face tight constraints on their budgets, and being able to provide these skills from within the organisation will help to free up resources to be used in other areas.
This course will:
-
Offer participants the opportunity to compare and understand the three approaches to personal and professional development.
-
Explain the different ways we acquire knowledge and how to consider this when deciding on the right approach to training development.

Demonstrate how to set up a coaching or mentoring relationship, or a training session.
-
Provide an opportunity to practice each approach.
