The Responsiblities of Charity Trustees

This course is for new charity trustees and for existing trustees who have not had formal training.

Topics covered include:

  • responsibilities of trustees
  • your governing document
  • difficult issues for boards (including conflicts of interest)
  • trustees’ role as board members
  • governance and management
  • trustee/CEO/staff relationships
  • recent changes in charity law

Learning Outcomes

By the end of the course, participants will have the skills required to:

  • understand their responsibilities
  • understand the importance of their governing document
  • manage conflicts of interest
  • understand the difference between governance and management
  • contribute fully to the operation of an effective board 

Venue and Time
The course will be held at one of our regular training venues in Central London between 9.30am and 1pm.

Cost 
£90 plus VAT, including training materials, lunch and refreshments.
