Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety – accredited course
The course provides essential knowledge and understanding of health and safety and is accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health. It covers health and safety law, the prevention of accidents and
ill health, first aid at work, electrical safety, fire prevention, hazardous substances and manual handling.
The purpose of the course is to provide employees with an understanding of health and safety issues which will enable them to contribute to any health and safety management system.

Following this course, trainees will be able to:

Who should attend?
This course is suitable for all employees and volunteers.
Accreditation
The course is assessed by a short objective test of 30 multi-choice questions taken at the end of the course in the candidates' own time. Oral tests are available to ensure that candidates with learning difficulties
or with disabilities can access the training and achieve success. Candidates who complete the assessment satisfactorily will receive a Foundation Certificate in Health and Safety.
